剧集根据吴林的小说《金花铁掌》改编，从战马为切入口，讲述了抗日战争时期，赵家马掌铺少爷赵大旗（吴樾饰）在机缘巧合之下参加了新四军并一路成长，与吴州国小老师孙佳慧（余心恬饰）相识相恋，历经生死劫难一路并肩战斗的故事。。二战期间，美国一潜艇接到密令，立即出航。离港二十四小时后才知道目的地是日本东京湾。经过艰难险阻，终于到达东京湾。返航时炸毁了日军航空母舰及巡洋舰，圆满地完成了密航任务……。Cultural Flavors is a cooking tour that takes you around the world one dish at a time.
