朱天宝原为建兴王爷幼子，因深受宠爱被长兄朱天祥嫉妒，在一次外出途中被朱天祥加害，后失去记忆被民女孟小蝶收留。在孟小蝶的帮助下成为名讼师，为民请愿，最后得见圣上。朱天宝在无意间发现朱天祥的巨大阴谋，揭穿朱天祥的阴谋后成为皇上功臣。但他却拒绝了高官厚禄，被册封为九品王爷，逍遥于民间。。改编自Daphne du Maurier的小说Jamaica Inn Set in 1820 against the backdrop of the windswept Cornish moors, the story follows Mary’s journey when she is forced to live with an aunt at the eponymous inn after the death of her mother and discovers it to be the hub of a smuggling ring.。
