Man of God depicts the trials and tribulations of Saint Nektarios of Aegina, as he bears the unjust hatred of his enemies while preaching the Word of God.。远离中原的蛇岛上，独龙尊者带着徒弟金世遗（林峰 饰）生活，将毕生绝学传授给他。一天毒龙尊者突然走火入魔而死，临死前吩咐金世遗带着亲笔书函回到中原交给邙山派掌门吕四娘。向来在孤岛长大不懂中原礼节的金世遗衣衫褴褛地踏上中原土地，被误认为是丐帮弟子卷入帮派纷争，出手不凡的他引起了邙山派女弟子谷之华（李彩桦 饰）的注意。而血滴子杀手厉胜男（叶璇 饰）也盯上了金世遗，更对他进行颠倒黑白的教育让他对付正派人士。在前去邙山的途中，金世遗与谷之华渐生情愫，然而厉胜男也对金世遗产生了微妙的女儿之情，这不能出口的爱意与自己特殊的身份令她喜怒无常，金世遗捉摸不透。 随着门派纷争进一步扩大，金世遗与厉胜男、谷之华这两位绝代女子也经历了感情涤荡。。
