该剧讲述了在当代贫富差距日益扩大的社会环境下，不同家庭背景的青少年的成长故事。 生长在贫困家庭的农村姑娘秦燕，靠超乎常人的努力跨进医学院大门，诠释了梅花香自苦寒来的道理；从社会底层奋斗上来的秦雄，用不懈的努力求证了成功的含义；富家子弟乔枫，在优裕的生活环境中，却找不到生命的价值；同是富家子弟的田笑，则认为一切皆可交易，而她的哥哥田鹰为规避风险竟将父亲送进监狱。在这些年青人的成长过程中，社会、家庭、学校分别起了重要作用，不同的教育理念，导致了他们不同的人生轨迹。该剧从生活、理想、事业、爱情、友谊等方面，多角度描写了当代年轻群体众生相。。This is the second film about the detective Feluda (Soumitra Chatterjee) set in the holy city of Benares, where he (along with his cousin, Topshe and friend, Lalmohan Ganguly) goes for a holiday.
