本剧讲述了上世纪90年代，一群怀揣梦想的大学毕业生南下广州寻梦的故事徐峥扮演的男主角来到当时广告业很发达的广州，租住在一间在老城区很常见的小出租屋里，在那里开始了他的寻梦，并与顾挺发生的感情故事。。故事从3名小区保安夜晚巡逻时突遇楼道滴血进而发现灵异事件展开。影片以林紫凝、林勇为（龙馨悦 饰）为这对双胎姐妹为主线，林紫凝因受他人设套被偷拍不雅视频并传到网上，在极度崩溃下选择了自杀。东海市公安局刑警支队重案队队长陶明（梁辰羽 饰）查阅了案发现场资料后断定，这起案件的背后肯定隐藏着惊天秘密。林勇为得知姐姐死讯后，火速赶到东海市，老同学陶明赶到火车站接站，并转交了其姐姐林紫凝的遗物，林勇为深知姐姐性格刚烈，坚定姐姐是被人陷害，并暗自下定决心要亲自查个水落石出，是苍蝇还是老虎，是真的有鬼还是人为作怪……。When Twilight Sparkle and her friends arrive in Hope Hollow, they find the town and all its residents completely devoid of color their dream vacation is starting to feel more like a nightmare.
