本片通过1896－2020年的80多部电影的影像片段，研究了电影镜头设计的政治性，以及这些元电影是如何与性虐待/侵犯和对女性的就业歧视这两种现象的猖獗有所挂钩的。。一起下水道的凶案，让刑警队长徐骁和老刑警林国强碰到一起，两人探案手法风格迥异，但因为对真相和正义的共同追求，逐渐弥合了观点上的分歧，结成亦师亦友的老少搭档。但破案的过程并不顺利，在考古学者陈楠的帮助下，他们发现作案的凶手有着某种邪恶的思想，凶手难觅、迷雾难驱，他们虽分歧不断，但仍朝着一致的目标倾力探寻。最终使凶手伏法。。A boyfriend, who can barely speak English, embarks on an overseas trip with his girlfriend, who takes charge of planning everything and even handles communication on his behalf.
