某酒店大堂经理杨桃（高圆圆 饰）是一个虽知婚姻是爱情的坟墓却还是不愿死无葬身之地的大龄单身女性。她妈妈薛素梅女士（张凯丽 饰）比女儿还着急，发动各种社会关系为杨桃介绍对象，牛鬼蛇神的应征者反倒让桃子更加心烦。供职于婚姻登记处的单身汉果然（黄海波 饰）由于父母婚姻的关系，决定做一辈子单身贵族，可是耐不住哥们——同时也是桃子的姐夫段西风（傅迦 饰）的撮合下，他还是和桃子见面了。两人最初的相遇并不太理想，唇枪舌剑俨然一对冤家。不过命运就是这样难以捉摸，仿佛并不般配的二人却因各种机缘越走越近。 当然婚姻殿堂的前方还有充满考验和磨难的长路要走，愁嫁女与恐婚男如何度过难关，修成正果呢？。This is the second film about the detective Feluda (Soumitra Chatterjee) set in the holy city of Benares, where he (along with his cousin, Topshe and friend, Lalmohan Ganguly) goes for a holiday.
